KERKAR RETREAT, Calangute, Goa

Kerkar Retreat located just a few minutes walk from the famous Calangute Beach in the premises of Kerkar Art Complex is the most elegant Guest House in Goa. Created with a unique blend of Indo-Portuguese Architecture, it is born out of the creative talents of Goa's celebrated artist Dr. Subodh Kerkar. It reflects a commitment to preserve Indo-Portuguese Architecture to help sustain the unique touch to Goan ambience. Kerkar Retreat has been highly acclaimed by Design Magazines and Television shows in India.

Kerkar Retreat has only five cosy rooms of starred category with a Kitchen and a Library with an open-air, secluded Terrace under the shade of a luxurious palm. It's In-House-Bar gives you the freedom to fix your drink to your own taste and pleasure, and those who would like to try their culinary expertise can make use of the Kitchen. Needless to mention that we have in Goa King prawns, Crabs, Sardines or King fish always fresh from the unpolluted seas around.
The Guest House thus offers a homely atmosphere in its large sized bedrooms, spacious bathrooms with modern facilities, in the midst of its exquisite interior décor with original paintings, sculptures and other curios. The Library has a wide selection of Books on Art, Culture, Indian Philosophy and selected books of some Indian authors. The Open-Air-Auditorium in the Complex organises Indian Classical Music and Dance Concerts, during the Tourist season on every Tuesday between 6.45 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Those who have an inclination for painting or clay sculpture can make use of the facilities including a ceramic studio in the premises. Kerkar Retreat offers an opportunity for literally an 'arty' holiday in picturesque Goa.

 

Tariff

The rates for the period up till 30th September 2008 are as follows:

Extra mattress in a room will cost Rs. 350/- per night.

There is a common kitchen in the guest house where complementary tea and coffee can be prepared by the house guests at their leisure.
